Vegan Skincare | My Morning Routine ft. Tropic Skin Care

I take an unreasonably long time to get ready in the mornings. When I tell people I set my alarm for 6.15am and don’t leave the house until just after 8am, they are usually shocked and confused at how it could take so much time to get fed and watered before hitting the road. I do envy those of you who can be up and out within half an hour, but I don’t think it’ll ever be me.

With all that in mind, I thought I would share my current morning skincare routine with you all. I got into Tropic Skin Care earlier this year and am so glad that I did – they offer cruelty-free, vegan skincare and cosmetics which contain natural and non-toxic ingredients. Clearly, they’re right up my alley!

Step 1 | Exfoliate

Tropic Skin Care Face Smooth Brightening Polish

I don’t exfoliate every day – more like once every two or three days. When I do, I reach for Tropic Skin Care’s Face Smooth Brightening Polish*, and apply a generous amount on my chins, cheeks and t-zone, scrubbing gently in circular motions. I usually jump in the shower and let this sit (I’m convinced the rising humidity caused by the shower opens my pores up and prompts a deeper clean) before removing it afterwards with a hot, wet muslin cloth.

Face Smooth provides a very refreshing scrub, leaving my skin feeling clear and renewed. Plus t’s microbead free!

Step 2 | Moisturise

Tropic Skin Care Skin Revive Nourishing Cream Concentrate moisturiser

Once I have cleaned my teeth, toned and applied eye cream, I go in with Tropic’s Skin Revive Nourishing Cream Concentrate moisturiser*. The cream is rich but sinks into my skin effortlessly and is not greasy or clogging. It is packed with natural ingredients, including several fruit extracts and natural oils – no nasties in here to go on your face.

Sometimes – perhaps once or twice a week at the moment, as I’m already quite tanned – I will pop a drop of Tropic’s Sun Drops* into the moisturiser, mixing the two together on my hand before applying them.

And that’s it! Somehow, this routine takes a while to go through…but it leaves my face feeling fresh and ready for the layers of liquids and powders I’ll no doubt be applying next.

What’s your morning skincare routine? Have you tried any of Tropic Skin Care’s range?

*I was sent this product to review, and have given nothing but my honest opinion!
